I suddenly got hit with a burst of ‘work’ so if you see an abundance of blog posts, that’s why! I have to try and get some of it done before we leave tonight. At the moment we’re packing up to head to Michigan. Our first trip in .. about 5 years I think. My gosh! But MI doesn’t have much more to offer us than seeing family and usually they come here. So it’s kind of understandable why it has taken so long. lol
Now I just hope everything goes well. We’re not big on taking vacations, orlando vacations or otherwise because it’s such a hassle! Packing, dealing with traffic, kids, pets, etc. UGH! I’m hoping that we’ve planned enough to make things go smoothly. We’re not leaving until tonight, probably 9pm’ish so we’ll drive all night and arrive in the morning. That should eliminate bathroom stops, doggy walks and eating since everyone in the back of the bus should be sleeping. SHOULD being the word of the day. We shall see. We’ve never taken the kids on a really long trip. Aubree went once when she was a year old and of course she endured the cross country trek from CA to VA when she was 8 months old. But yeah, never anything after they started talking and becoming super antsy.
I’m so excited! It’ll be nice to visit for a couple of days and just be away. We’re only staying maybe 3 days max and then coming right back so I’ll also hopefully avoid being pulled in all directions. I used to see so many friends and family but now I’ve lost touch with just about all friends I had in MI and family .. well I’m only bothering seeing those who are immediate - parents, brothers and my little nephew.
