And he’s gone …
Ok, so it’s only for the week but still. I felt sort of bad pushing him out the door earlier. Will was, thankfully, already in bed so there wasn’t a lot of whining or freaking out. I didn’t even have to drive him to Norfolk either, which I was super happy about. I hate driving to Norfolk, hate driving around Norfolk and just didn’t want to. Period. So he found himself a ride with a co-worker. Score! I told him to give the guy $10 as a “Thank You”. I don’t know if that was enough but I hope so. It’s not like it cost him that much in gas.
Now .. back to this routine again. I wish I was back in CA right now. The “navy wife” thing was way better when I had friends to do stuff with on a daily basis. I was never once as lonely out there as I am here on a daily basis. Blah.
Sure, I have the kids .. but they are SO not the social entertainment that I am looking for.
