Back and forth

It’s been.. a day.

The husband didn’t get to even come home from work last night. No, he worked all night long, into today and then had planned on working all day today but that changed. The ship they were supposed to load their equipment onto wasn’t even in port and it couldn’t come in due to the weather. Which is great, I guess. He was able to be here at home all day but it ended up keeping me here too because he was basically “on call”. I couldn’t take off and leave the kids here or even take them with me because there was the chance that he would need the van.

UGH!

It’s frustrating sharing a car. I’ll admit that. It’s a huge pain in the ass. But we’ve always done it and I’m not backing down any time soon. We make it work. It’s not only extremely economical but also environmentally friendly and now that being green is the “in” thing, I’m finally cool. Right? Right? I just keep my eye on the times when I’ll be here alone for months and months. There’s no need to have two cars sitting around when there’s only 1 driver most of the time.

So yeah. Boring. Absolutely mind numbing sort of day. I woke up in a terrible mood anyway so it’s not like I would have had any fun out and about. I don’t know what the problem is but I’m just feeling blah. Lonesome. Anxious. Like a puddle of gooooo. Like the last kid picked for dodge ball. The darn weather isn’t helping. Rain, rain, rain. It’s hard to stay too motivated when it’s dark as night at 5pm. *sighs*
