Time Is Flying!

I just realized I only have around a month to figure out what we’ll do for Will’s birthday. I know it will be more low key than last year, being the second birthday and all. It’s hard to top that big exciting FIRST birthday, you know? Then add in the fact that we won’t have anyone visiting during that time, so it’s just the 4 of us. Big fun.

I haven’t yet decided if I want to make his cake or have one made. After the huge project I completed for Aubree’s, I’m still a little caked out. I love the way that one turned out, but it was only a masterpiece visually. Taste wise? It sucked. I learned with that cake that I am not a fan of fondant’s taste. It ruins the cake if you ask me.

Then there’s gifts. He’s at that age where it really doesn’t matter. We have every toy imaginable. Someday he’ll be older and maybe have certain interested. I could buy world series tickets and he’d think I hung the moon or something. But now? I don’t know. I’d love to get a train table, but we just don’t have the real estate right now and not knowing where we’ll live next, I have to be careful with those decisions.
