What one earth are hgh supplements? I seem to see ads all of the time for weird things on Facebook and this was one of them today. No supplements of any kind for me, thank you. lol

I’m finally down to two more customers to get money from. Not bad in two weeks I guess. There were over 100 people and the hubby keeps taking orders every day. My child is the cookie queen!! And actually she’s the top seller in her troop so I’m pretty stoked about that. I’ll deal with the hassle for my baby. :) And I will continue because we have more cookie booths to do yet. One tomorrow and one next weekend. Then .. just maybe .. we’ll be done with cookie sales this year.

Just pay me already!

I still have a few stragglers that haven’t paid for cookies. Despite my pleas and reminders. Shit. It’s irritating!! I need to have it within this next week and I don’t want to ruin relationships over cookies but .. come on! Especially those the hubby works with. The cookies came in right on payday so there’s no money excuse. They are all in fine shape being military men and definitely aren’t in need of the best diet pills for men so calories shouldn’t be an issue. So just pay already.

grrr.

This is why for the most part I tried to be careful with who we sold to. You just never know when it’s an honor sale. I really think the Girl Scouts should start thinking about collecting the dough up front. It’d be less stress.

Insomniac

I am so tired. I haven’t slept well for the last few days. Part of the issue is that I am just a night owl by nature and when I try to force myself into bed earlier I end up failing miserably. I lay there and toss/turn. It’s rotten. Then when I do fall asleep I end up leaving the tv on and everything I hear on the tube ends up in my head. Infomercials for amazing new products, commercials for energy auditor training, reality tv shows, scary stuff. Whatever pops on. Last night I must have left it on the news for a bit because I kept dreaming about horrible things. People being killed, houses on fire, having things stolen. lol Insane. Here’s to hoping tonight is better. If I go one more night without rest I am going to go berserk.

Happy Birthday Cooper!

Our youngest cat, Cooper, is 5 years old today. He’s lucky that he’s one of the kitties that I actually like. LOL 5 is such a nice age. Still young enough to play and be frisky without the nagging issues that older cats tend to have. No joint pain relief needed quite yet and hopefully not for quite some time. The cat I hate? A whole other story. ;)

Aubree requested that we buy Cooper a gift later. A toy rat. We’ll see about that. I’m sure he’d love it though. If anything I’ll at least get him some cat nip so they can all share .. get wasted. Cats know how to party!

Kitty Love / Hate

I hate one of my cats. I’ll admit it. There are some days when I think he’s ok but for the most part I despise him. He’s without a tail and because of that he has certain spine issues. Those issues cause him to at times drop turds here and there without even noticing. He’s basically incontinent. Then he’s also an ass who likes to spend his time foraging through my kitchen no matter how much he’s already eaten. This causes an upset stomach which causes the runs .. and you don’t want an incontinent cat with the runs. Believe me. *sighs* My husband would love to get rid of him. Most days so would I. But I have this horrible feeling about it because I took this cat on EIGHT years ago and I feel like no matter how horrible he makes my day to day life, I have to deal with it. Which sucks. It’s just horrible to have an animal that brings you so much stress. So much that I’ve started to need to shop for a better zit remedy. I’m breaking out like a teenager. The cleanup when he’s sick sends me into a depression because I hate germs, messes and especially bodily fluids of any kind. I cry over it. I scream. I get angry and basically treat my family like crap. All because of a cat.

UGH!

One of these days I hope he passes peacefully in his sleep of old age. Or that I get the balls to find him a new home with someone more understanding. No matter what other people may think of me for doing so. They aren’t the ones living with it day in and day out. :(

Healthy Dreams

I am sure if you have read my blog for any amount of time you know that I am just a little bit anal when it comes to germs. I’m a fully certified germ-a-phobe. I can’t stand the thought of funk and bacteria looming about. It seriously gives me willies. Because of that I try to be pretty clean in most areas of my life. But you know there are always those things that you think are perfectly fine and then you find out that it is totally not the case. Like your pillow, for example. I change out my pillows every couple of months (yes, brand new, throw out the old) and wash my pillow cases quite often. Along with keeping zippered covers on them. I thought that would probably keep me mostly germ free. But after watching this video on Youtube. I’m thinking not!

Can I get a collective “ewwwwwww”? So gross!! While I suspected some of it I had NO idea it could be that bad. Or that the bedroom is the second dirtiest room in the average home. Yuck! On a side note I’m also quite shocked that people keep their pillows for so long. What are those folks in the video thinking? How can a pillow even keep it’s sturdy cushion for your sweet little head after being used for 5+ years?

Pillows can harbor so many things. From the moment you begin using them the dust mites move in to start munching on your dead skin cells. *shudders* After seeing this video I am thinking that it would probably be smart to replace our pillows again even though we’ve only had them for a few months now. The kids have have the flu and colds in that time. Nasty. To think of all of the germs just hanging out in there, being re-breathed all night long. That certainly does not make for sweet dreams whatsoever.

I’m really liking the idea of healthy dreams germ fighting pillows and honestly if they weren’t so pricey I’d invest in a set for my entire family. I’m very used to throwing $4 at a pillow at the local mass market chain. But I am sure they would be worth it. They have a Micrenza bio-filter that keeps all of the yucky germs out. This filters has the same efficiency as an N95-rated surgical mask The air that goes in and comes back out gets filtered. The exterior resists moisture and is treated with a mold fighting agent. They are basically the only germ-free, mold-free, and allergen-free pillow available. Perfect for people with allergies or people like me who fear what they cannot see.

No repeats

Thanks to a handy little newsletter I get every week from Smithfield I have had a menu each week with absolutely no repeats in quite awhile. It has been fabulous. Plus everything has been so different. The ideas they give me are ideas that I don’t think I would have thought of on my own. Like one of the dishes this week, a steak pizza with caramelized onions and arugula. It was SO good. I thinly sliced grilled filet mignon instead of the flank steak that they recommended but otherwise it was spot on. Right now I’m making some sort of pork dish with a paprika sauce. We’ll see how that turns out but if it’s anything like most of the recipes, it’ll be fantastic!

I’m also loving these recipes because they have so many veggies thrown in. We’re always trying new ones and finding new ways to spice the old favorites up. Of course as healthy as it seems there’s no quick weight loss happening. I guess I am just not that lucky. But I’ll still take my cake even if I’m not getting to eat it, too.

So Bored

The hubby has had the last 5 days off. Two for leave after having a minor surgery and then the weekend and today’s holiday. I love that but I am so frickin bored. Seriously. He watches the most boring television so I am either left here to screw around on my computer or listen to the crappy shows he watches along with the lame daytime television commercials. They are all the same anymore! Either erectile dysfunction, tax preparing or cla weight loss. I can’t remember the last time I bought something because of a television commercial anyway so I can’t stand listening to it.

He’ll be back to work tomorrow and while I’ll miss the company I look forward to being able to turn the volume way down and enjoy some quiet time. Everything is so much more chaotic when he’s home for some unknown reason. Even the dog is more hyper. ugh!

So what did you do for Valentine’s Day? Ours here are not what they used to be, that’s for sure! I’m now focused mostly on the kids and sitting deep in candies and little gifts for them instead of planning a nice trip with the hubby and booking vacation rentals. This year they got a few little trinkets from Target’s holiday aisles (love those) and then some candy. Added in were a couple of Webkinz. They are in love with them so I allowed Will to pick out 2 for him and 2 for Aubree as a gift from him. It was sweet but he ran right inside with the bag and told her exactly what he bought her before he had the chance to look. We have to work on that whole “surprise” thing. The boy doesn’t grasp it very well. LOL

Anyway, we didn’t do anything as a couple but the hubby did surprise me with the obligatory red roses. That I love. Even if they are very non-original. He THOUGHT of me and that is totally what counts. Right?

A non intentional break

Apparently I forgot to pay my hosting. Oops. Honestly I pretty much forget to pay every month but then I get the payment in right before they suspend my account. I don’t have many excuses. I just suck with remembering things. ;( But anyway, this time it took for-freakin-ever to get the website back up again. I’m pretty sure they do that on purpose. You know .. like “too bad, pay your bill on time and this wouldn’t happen!”. I get that. But still.

Right now I’m buried in girl scout cookies. Aubree sold 345 total and they came in on Valentine’s Day. What fun! It’s kind of neat seeing that many boxes of cookies stacked in my entryway. But at the same time it’s horrible. You kind of forget that they are OTHER people’s cookies and NO you cannot eat them. lol It’s also difficult to keep kids away from them. You can’t tell them that they are all gone when there’s hundreds of them in their faces. grrrr. Thankfully a quick bribe with ps3 games or the Nintendo DS can take their mind off of it for a second. And then I am stuck with peeling the games out of their hands when I have had enough of that. ugh. Parenting.
